Prestige Points: A Unique Reward System
Huppla Pasa Tisc has implemented a unique reward system for those that work at and for the group. Basic Q&A follows, and any questions not answered here should be directed to Gilbert Reed to have them addressed.
Q: What are Prestige Points?
A: Prestige Points are points earned by doing work for or at HPT and can be used as credit for the purchase of goods or services from HPT.
Q: How do I earn Prestige Points?
A: There are many ways to earn prestige. Contractors of the group earn prestige on the basis of 1 (one) points for every 100,000 value of ordered goods or services. Members earn 10% more for these goods and services, and earn a bare minimum of 100 prestige per month. HPT sponsored Faction Traders earn prestige on the basis of 1 (one) points for every 1,000,000 value of sold goods or services.
Q: What can I do with my Prestige Points?
A: Prestige Points can be used in various ways to order goods and services from HPT. Points can be redeemed for products or services on the basis of 1 point for every 1000 value of ordered goods or services. Points can also be redeemed with the group for credits on the same basis. Points are transferable, and may be freely traded amongst all citizens of the galaxy.
Q: What are some examples of earning Prestige Points and some for using Prestige Points?
A: Example #1: Obi Wan Producer is contracted by HPT to produce 1 YV-666 for the group. Once Obi Wan Producer finishes production and the entity is made over to HPT, Obi Wan earns Prestige. 1 YV-666 value is 40,000,000 credits in value. 40,000,000 credits divided by 100,000 credits equals 400. Obi Wan earns 400 Prestige Points for producing this ship for HPT.
Example #2: Obi Wan Producer has earned himself 2000 Prestige Points over the course of doing business with HPT. He wants to redeem these points for a ship. He browses the products page, and his eye falls on the Delta-Class JV7. The JV-7 is 2,000,000 in value. As Obi-Wan knows each of his Prestige Points equals 1000 credits in value, he realizes he has enough Prestige to order a JV-7 from the faction free of charge. He redeems his points, and has a shiny new JV-7 shortly thereafter.
Example #3: Darth Transporter is a new Freelance Transporter in the game. He is contracted by HPT to haul materials from one point in the galaxy to another. This will take him 10 days. As HPT goods are ordered at 200,000 credits per day in Hyper, plus an additional 100,000 credits for sublight travel, this equals a total of 2,100,000 credits of ordered services from HPT. 2,100,000 divided by 100,000 equals 21. Darth earns 21 Prestige Points for this trip.
Q: How do I know how many Prestige Points I have at any given time?
A: The HPT Forums will have a running tally of everyone's earned Prestige Points, as well as a running tally of redeemed points. If the forums are down at any point in time, Gilbert Reed, or the current leader of HPT, will have a spreadsheet of earned/redeemed points. Darkness messaging either will get you a quick response and tally.
Q: Who do I contact if I want to know more about Prestige Points?
A: Gilbert Reed, or the current leader of HPT, will be able to answer your questions in a timely fashion.
